Arabic manuscript of the Book of Fixed Stars by al-Sufi - كتاب صور الكواكب الثابتة صوفي

هذه المخطوطة هي نسخة عثمانية مزخرفة من العمل التركي تحفة الفارسين في أحوال خيول المجاهدين، تأليف أحمد عطا طيارزاده (ت. 1294 هـ / 1877 م). تم نسخ النص بخط الرقعة بواسطة شاكر محمد في عام 1271 هـ / 1854-1855 م. تبدأ المخطوطة بفهرس مفصل للمحتويات ، وتتميز المخطوطة باحتوائها على ثلاثين رسماً توضيحياً للخيول في نهايتها. يُعد هذا العمل دليلاً شاملاً لتدريب ورعاية خيول الحرب، مما يعكس أهمية الثقافة الفروسية والتقاليد العسكرية في الدولة العثمانية.

This manuscript is an illustrated Ottoman copy of the Turkish work Tuhfat ul-farisin fi ahwal-i khuyul il-mujahidin ("The Gift of the Horsemen on the Condition of the Warhorses") by Ahmed Ata Tayyarzade (d. 1294 AH / 1877 CE). The text was transcribed in ruq‘ah script by Saker Muhammed in 1271 AH / 1854-5 CE. The manuscript begins with a detailed table of contents. It is notable for its rich illustrations, featuring thirty depictions of horses at the end. This work serves as a comprehensive guide to the training and care of warhorses, reflecting the Ottoman emphasis on equestrian culture and military tradition.
